What is mental coaching - and how does it differ from psychotherapy?

Mental coaching is future and solution-oriented. We work with the present and your goals for the future, without delving into the past. In contrast to psychotherapy, coaching is aimed at healthy people who want to grow, move on, or discover new paths.

Who can benefit from mental coaching?

For all those who give a lot, appear strong but feel inside: I just need a moment for myself.

Coaching is especially helpful when dealing with stress, overwhelm, or emotional turbulence or the desire for more self-confidence and clarity.

What happens during a coaching session?

You’ll have a safe space where you’re truly heard – without judgment or pressure.

I use targeted questions, simple tools, and mental exercises to help you reconnect with your inner calm, strength, and sense of direction.

How many sessions will I need?

It’s highly individual. Some topics can be resolved within a few sessions, others may take more time. Together, we’ll explore what makes sense for you, and you’ll move forward at your own pace.

Do you offer a free initial consultation?

Yes – I offer a non-binding introductory meeting (online or in person) so you can get a feel for whether the chemistry is right and how coaching could support you.

Is mental coaching covered by health insurance?

Usually not, as mental coaching is not considered medical treatment. Instead, you have full freedom to decide on the duration, content and goals – without diagnoses or long waiting periods.

What happens in an online session?

It’s simple: All you need is a stable internet connection and a quiet space. I’ll send you the Zoom link beforehand. Even online, we create a space of trust where deep work is possible.

I’m not sure what I need – is coaching still right for me?

Coaching can be key, especially if you feel lost or stuck. You don’t need to have a clear goal; we’ll discover it together.
